The standard Gasket is n-butyl rubber. It is suited for most applications including standard oil mist, temperatures to 250 degrees fahrenheit and dust. The gasket is also available in:
Asbestos – very high temps
Goretex – some oil mist
Viton – corrosive oils (very inert)
