The Rotamix system is a cost-effective alternative to mechanical mixers, designed to handle tough applications where reliability and performance are critical. With no moving parts inside the tank and a hydraulically optimized mixing pattern, Rotamix ensures consistent solids suspension and improved process efficiency.
How it Works
The Rotamix system creates a unique multi-zone hydraulic mixing pattern that combines rotational and vortical flow by positioning the angle of the nozzles to optimize mixing.
Rotational flow moves the entire tank contents in a circular motion
Vortial flow introduces vertical circulation for complete mixing
This dual-action approach generated higher velocities throughout the tank, preventing solids from settling and ensuring uniform distribution.
High-velocity nozzles further enhance mixing by inducing additional flow and expanding the effective mixing zone, while the Vaughan Chopper Pump on the outside of the tanks continuously reduce solids size to improve the overall system performance.

Foam Buster
The Vaughan Foambuster is a simple, effective solution for controlling foam in digesters and and sludge tanks. Using a specialized nozzle and stainless steel splash-plate, the system creates a broad spray pattern that wets and breaks down surface foam.
The Foambuster nozzle, mounted above liquid level, can be installed near the tank periphery and aimed radially inward toward the center, or mounted at/near the tank center and aimed outward toward the tank wall – providing flexible coverage based on the tank design.
When paired with the Rotamix system, tank contents rotate beneath the spray, allowing a single Foambuster to suppress foam across the entire surface. This integrated approach improves gas recovery, reduces maintenance, and helps maintain stable operation.
